Chantilly Cream
Here’s a little something extra for topping your dessert that makes plain whipped cream seem, well, plain. Your pumpkin pie deserves this.
Ingredients
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon brandy
1 teaspoon Grand Marnier
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons Creme Fraiche or sour cream

In a medium bowl, beat together cream, vanilla, brandy, Grand Marnier and powdered sugar with a hand mixer or immersion blender for 1 minute. Add the Creme Fraiche or sour cream and continue to beat just until it forms soft peaks.
Don’t let the alcohol content of the brandy and Grand Marnier in this recipe scare you to skimping on it. Vanilla extract is typically 70 proof.
