Whipped Cream

Whipped Cream

This is the basic recipe for whipped cream to serve with fresh strawberries, make ice cream into a sundae, or to simply top your pie or hot chocolate. We like to add vanilla to our whipped cream, but you can also leave it unflavored if you prefer.

Ingredients

1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla, optional

Instructions

In a medium bowl, beat the cold heavy cream together with the sugar and vanilla using a handheld mixer or immersion blender until it reaches desired consistency.

Whipped Cream is best served the same day, but may be refrigerated up to 4 days. It will deflate as it sits in the refrigerator. Prepared whipped cream may be frozen in an airtight container for longer term storage.
